Family L.P.

I explore my family album by rephotographong it. I recreate it. This time the framing is mine. I keep inside it, the object or subject of my desire. The generator of emotions is now placed in a new image and is being conserved. The new image is submerged into hot wax. The wax traps it but also leaves it open to observation.
This final image is like a mechanical memory. It always comes back the same, without narrative references. The only reference is visual, through a static image, an improved family snapshot.
