Photography is more than a medium for communication of reality, it is a creative art.
Therefore, emphasis on technique is justified only so far as it will simplify the statement of the photographer's concept.
The following photographs were taken in the end of the 1980's. The series focused on the "Baptism of Christians in the Jordan River" .
For the first time I focused mainly on human subjects after many years of photographing still life and nature.
This was also the first time I worked with the " Zone System ", which I taught myself. After a few years I returned to photographing still life. ( A sample of my work - OXYMORON- ) is presented in my site.
This series also closes a circle for me personally, I as a Jew studied in a Christian school.
