'Encounters' required two years of shooting to complete.
The human face a source of inspiration to me. Every moment unique, every expression different and every look new.
However the faces in these photos were known and familiar to me. My job was to overcome this familiarity and capture with my camera new sides of these faces. I tried to transform them, I hope I succeeded.
Now the faces have become pictures, which follow their own path as a photograph.
The portraits meet each other from their frames and confess their secrets; they don't need me anymore.
My work as a photographer is complete one step back. The spectator owns the pictures now.
People? Faces? Pictures of yesterday, of tomorrow? Does it matter?
Pictures live by their own through time.
